Menghua Yangtze Bridge

Menghua railway Gongan Yangtze River Bridge,at present, more than 75 % of the total construction work started in 2012 has been completed. By the end of this year, the bridge will be completed and officially opened to traffic in 2017. The heavy haul railway bridge crossing the Yangtze River for the first time in China has a total length of 6317.822 meters. The main bridge adopts a double-tower steel truss girder cable-stayed bridge with a main span of 518 meters. The bridge deck is divided into upper and lower layers. The upper layer is a highway bridge deck with a width of 26 meters and a two-way 4 - lane expressway. The lower layer is the railway deck, double-track heavy haul railway.
