Baling River Bridge

A super-large bridge across the Baling River Grand Canyon has a bridge length of 1564 meters, a main span of 1088 meters, a maximum pier of 202 meters, and a deck height of more than 370 meters ( from the deck to the water surface of the Baling River ). Baling River Bridge leads the international and domestic in many technical indexes. It is currently the largest bridge in Asian steel frame reinforced beam suspension cable highway bridge and also the largest highway bridge in Asia. The total investment is expected to be 1.48 billion yuan. The bridge was started on April 18, 2005 and officially opened to traffic on December 23, 2009. Baling River Bridge is an important part of the planned Shanghai - Switzerland national highway network, of which the Zhen ( Ning ) Sheng ( Jing Guan ) expressway has a total length of more than 190 kilometers with a total investment of 12 billion yuan. Baling River Bridge is located on Anshun - Shizhen - Sheng Expressway.
